Here are commonly asked questions about how COLOR ME BLEU works:

 

What is an Art Party Class like?

  It is a relaxed and casual environment.  I will walk you through a painting step by step.  At the end of the session you will have a masterpiece that you have created and is all yours!  A session can last from 2 to 3 hours.

 

I do not have any artistic talent, will I be able to do the painting?  

   Yes.  I am here to help guide you through creating your own work of art.  Though we are all doing the same painting, everyone has his or her own style.  The joy of teaching these classes is, as you are learning off of me, I also am learning from you.

 

Do I need to sign up in advance?

    YES.  So when you come I know how many to set up for.  You can check out the upcoming events page on the class calendar and click on the painting you want to do.  It will lead you to the registration page. For a class to take place I must have four adult painters registered (or confirmed) to attend that evening. Class will be posted on Facebook or on the door if class is cancelled due to low attendance.

What does a class cost?

   To start the business off, most adult classes are $25.00.  Some paintings depending on what day and their difficulty can be $30.  We usually paint on an 11x14 or 8x10 canvas board depending on the painting.  If you want stretched canvas then they are $30.  

Kids in grade school always will be $16.00.  High school kids are $16.

   ...wood is available for certain classes.

 

What do I bring?  

  I provide all the supplies to create your painting.  The aprons (for 27 people),canvas, and paint.  Please wear clothes you can paint in. I have cover-ups, but acrylic paint ladies and gents!  I will be dressed to paint, so come that way too.

 

Can I bring  food?

   Yes.  Wine /beer are available for purchase or BYOB is an option on Nights Wine bar is not open.  After May 31st. it will be BYOB for alcoholic beverages.  Coffee/tea/soda sold in Coffee Shop.

What is your cancellation policy?

   IF you need to cancel I prefer you notify me within 48 hours so I can call someone who would like that seat.  24 hours prior notice gets you a refund.  Less than 24 hours I will credit you a class.   If a private party needs to cancel or reschedule I need 14 days notice.

  

Do you do private parties? 

   You can schedule a private party for any type of event.  Whether it is a birthday party, bridal shower, baby shower or team building event for your group.  Check out private party page.

 

Would you do a private class for one ?

   Let’s say you want to do a painting, but want to do it on your time.   This is $20 per hr..  I can instruct you through a painting that has been created already.   We can pick a time that works for both of us. After an hour you may stay and finish in my studio.  Additional instruction rate $10 per half hour.  ($10 minimum)
 

Can kids join in? 

   I would love to see the kids join in! If you schedule the class you get to pick who is allowed.  Some events may not want to have kids due to adult beverages.  Schedule the class ...you make the call.  

My kids are art kids! So I especially want the kids to take advantage of the paint studio.  This is a great birthday party idea or a great night out with your friends too.  Why should moms have all the fun? 

 

I missed a painting I really liked 

  Let me know and I will try to fit it into the schedule.  Some days I will schedule an open studio time where you can pick your painting for that session.  

   

Also remember this is a working studio so art pieces are for sale and will be available for viewing.
